About smokeing pipes
|
Pipe is the tool exclusively designed for smoking
tobacco. Their designs differ significantly but are made
reusable consisting of bowl for filling smokeing
substance, stem and mouth piece through which smoke is
inhaled.
The Scythians used to smoke fumes of burning leaves
believed to be Cannabis for enjoying intoxication as
revealed in the history by Herodotus as since ancient
times the Africans and Asians have been widely found
smooking Cannabis. The Cannabis resin was obtained from
the living plants for preparing the gummy brown
substance known as hashish in the Middle East and
Central Asian regions. The Persian ‘hookah’ and Indian
‘Narghile’ both have been created for smokin such
hashish wherein the smoke is typically filtered through
water.
In the modern world today, the pipes are made of
different material like briar, clay, ceramic, corncob,
glass, meerschaum, metal, porcelain, stone, wood and
various other combinations. The most familiar is classic
English calabash pipe. There are various designs of the
pipes available like Water Pipe for instance. Usually
the pipes crafted from total glass are meant for smoking
Cannabis.
The price and intricacy of the pipes also differ such as
the ‘Hookahs’ are made with hand-blown glass with pipes
of unglazed clay duly fitted with precious metals which
were in great demands in the European and American
regions for hundred of years.
The pipe smokeing culture and the smokers as well as the
substance to be smoked across the world entirely differ
according to their customs, vocabulary and etiquette.
For instance, in the Western world the tobacco pipe
smoking has often been mannerly or honored leading to
various customized accessories and apparels like
smokeing jackets.
